FAQ's
1. What do I need to supply you with?
A minimum of a 5ft wide, strong/sturdy banquet type table shall be made available for DJ use, with proper shielding from weather elements/sun if located outdoors. (ie. Canopy, tent, pavilion, etc. is required overhead.) A dedicated 20 amp outlet , or 2 15 amp dedicated outlets are also required in the vicinity of the setup. I come with all the necessary cords reasonably long enough to run my equipment. I will be at the event at least 1 hour prior of actual start time to setup.
2. How /when do I pay you?
Cash or check only please. NO credit cards. You can pay prior to the event or afterwards. As long as payment is done before I leave the event that day.
3. Do you have microphones?
Yes. I usually always have at least one microphone with me. I carry one wired one and a wireless one if needed for events and announcements. If needed, multiple microphones and stands are available for a small add on price.
4. Do you do games throughout the party?
Depending on the age group of the party, yes. Games can range from the limbo, to conga line, all the way to karaoke if guests really desire!
5. Do you need to be fed during the event?
That's up to you. Please let me know before the event though so I can plan/eat accordingly.
6. Do you take requests?
Depends on you! If you would like me to, I will, as long as I have them, and they are appropriate for the event/time/age group. Please note we do not take CD, iPod, Phone, or MP3 player requests from guests without your permission. If we do, we cannot support/guarantee HQ sound from any other music source besides our own due to variations of sound quality if you choose to use an external source of music.
7. Why do you have this equipment? And so much of it? Is the quality good?
Quality of equipment DOES matter. Honestly, it does not take much now-a-days for someone to start in the DJ business. Someone can go online, plop down a couple hundred dollars on what they refer to as "DJ equipment," and think that they are ready to go. But are they really? And what is the overall quality of that event going to be?
8. Why did you bring such big speakers/so many?
For the best sonic experience! If you have a pair of smaller speakers, your max volume, is what they are. You can't turn a pair of small speakers up past a certain point. BUT! By using a bit more than you have to, the power and headroom is there. You can always turn a big setup down, and still have the volume you want. When the time comes though, and the party pumps through the roof, we can make sure we complete the job with crystal clear volume, with an ample amount of headroom still so it does not strain the equipment...

- Have you ever been to an event where the DJ was making announcements and the sound was all muffled?
- Have you ever been near speakers that were "clipping" and sounding distorted?
- Have you been annoyed by someone making announcements where the microphone cut out or got a loud static?
- Have you been to a function where the people next to the dance floor were being blasted out but the people at the back of the room could not hear as clearly or what was being said?
- Have you been to a function where the CDs were skipping because the dance floor was vibrating because of people dancing?
- Have you been to an event where the music shut off because the amplifier was not powerful enough to handle the type of volume that the DJ was trying to get out of the system?
- Have you seen a DJ's set-up that has wires hanging out all over the place because components are not housed in a professional case?
